A suitable used color copier can print brochures, flyers and some cardstock, but you must check the exact model, paper and job. Paper size, weight, coating, feed tray and two-sided printing limits all matter. Before buying, ask for a sample printed from your own file on the stock you intend to use.
Describe the finished piece first. A letter-size tri-fold brochure has different requirements from an 11×17 sheet folded into a letter-size booklet. Consider how often you print it, how many copies you need and whether staff can trim or fold the output manually.
The Ricoh IM C4500 is one color copier to compare for office marketing materials. Its listing specifies up to 45 pages per minute for color and black-and-white output. That rating is not a promise of the same speed on heavy paper or complex jobs.

Some models support heavier paper, but “cardstock” is not a precise specification. Give the seller the paper's weight in grams per square meter (gsm), dimensions and whether it is coated. Paper described as 80 lb cover differs from 80 lb text; the pound number alone is not enough.
Ricoh publishes model-specific paper tables that distinguish trays, sizes and paper types. Check the manufacturer's paper recommendations and the manual for the model being quoted. A machine's maximum supported weight does not mean every stock at that weight will feed or produce satisfactory output.
Possibly. Automatic duplex printing may have a narrower paper-weight range than single-sided printing. Confirm the duplex limit separately, then test both sides of your intended paper. Heavy stock can also affect speed, curl and front-to-back alignment.
Do not assume borderless printing is supported. One approach is to print on a larger supported sheet and trim to the finished size, leaving enough bleed in the artwork. Confirm the printable area, larger sheet size and trimming workflow before buying.
Only if the necessary compatible finishing equipment is installed. A copier capable of printing booklet pages does not necessarily include a booklet finisher or folding unit. Ask which accessories are included in the quote and whether they support your paper and finished format.
It may suit internal materials and short runs after sample approval. Jobs requiring precise brand-color matching, demanding registration or specialty media need closer evaluation. Compare the sample with your expectations, and use a print provider when the job exceeds the machine's capabilities.
For paper-size decisions, read which offices need an 11×17 copier. For lower-priced options, compare used color copiers under $2,000.
