Serving Salinas, Santa Cruz and Watsonville, and the surrounding Monterey Bay communities.
Our Monterey Bay service area, covering Santa Cruz, Watsonville and the Salinas Valley.
We deliver our copiers ourselves and a certified Ricoh technician installs each one — placed, networked, tested and handed over to your staff before you pay anything. Most sellers ship by freight and leave the setup to the buyer, which for an office an hour from the nearest big-city dealer is exactly the wrong way round.
The copier is delivered, installed and running in your office before any money changes hands. If it isn't right for you, we take it away at no charge.
In 40 years we have never had to take one back.
Offices in Salinas, Watsonville and Santa Cruz are further from the big dealer service networks than most of the Bay Area, which means a service call can mean waiting rather than same-day attention. That's precisely why we spend time before we leave showing whoever runs the machine how to look after it.
Your staff will know how to clear a jam cleanly, change toner and waste toner, keep the scanner glass and document-feeder rollers clean — which is the single biggest factor in consistently sharp copies — read what the panel is telling them when a code appears, and tell the two-minute jobs from the ones worth calling about. An office that can handle the routine things itself simply isn't waiting on anyone.
You can also call us. A great many copier questions are answerable over the phone, and we've been doing that for decades.
Agriculture around the Salinas Valley and Watsonville runs on documentation — food-safety and compliance records, harvest and yield paperwork, certifications, bills of lading, invoices and packing documentation, often in real volume during season. Durable high-volume black-and-white with a dependable duplexing document feeder does that work far more economically than colour, and seasonal peaks are a good reason to buy a machine rated above your average month rather than at it.
Tourism and hospitality around Santa Cruz and the bay produce customer-facing colour — menus, event and activity programmes, rack cards, seasonal materials. That work is judged on appearance, so colour consistency and heavier stock handling are worth specifying up front.
Education, healthcare and professional offices across all three cities tend toward steady year-round volume with heavy scanning — the profile where owning outright comfortably beats a five-year lease.
Before a used copier enters inventory we read its own service history off the machine — total counter, jam history by location, fault log, maintenance counters and parts already replaced — and confirm that wear on rollers, drums, developer and fusing matches the count. Machines with a clean record are the ones we take.
Every unit leaves on current firmware. Manufacturer firmware improves scanning behaviour, network stability and driver compatibility, so the copier arrives working properly with the setup you already have — which matters more when you're not around the corner from a service depot.
Our owner has been a Ricoh technician for 40 years, which is why the Ricoh SC error code library on this site exists and why technicians around the country use it.
Ricoh first — Ricoh, Xerox and Lanier since 1991 — plus Canon, Kyocera, Sharp and Konica Minolta as we source them. Savin, Gestetner and Lanier are rebadged Ricoh engines, so parts and service match Ricoh.
Unfamiliar with Ricoh? Our brand comparison guide explains where each fits, and the technician's checklist covers judging any used machine.
We also cover Salinas specifically, Silicon Valley and the South Bay, and the Central Valley. See all Northern California regions.
