We deliver our copiers ourselves and a certified Ricoh technician installs each one — placed, networked, tested and explained to your staff before you pay a cent. Most sellers put the machine on a freight truck and leave the setup to you. We think the install is what you'll actually judge us on, so we do it in person.
The copier is delivered, installed and running in your office before any money changes hands. If it isn't the machine for you, we take it away at no charge.

The Peninsula has an unusually broad mix — biotech and life sciences concentrated around South San Francisco, professional and financial offices through San Mateo and Burlingame, established downtown practices in Redwood City, and a lot of small independent businesses across Daly City and San Bruno. The requirements differ accordingly.
Document-heavy and regulated work. Lab, clinical, legal and accounting offices tend to need dependable high-volume scanning far more than they need fast color. If most of what you do is turning paper into searchable files, the machine to look at is one with a strong duplexing document feeder and properly configured scan-to-folder — which is a setup question as much as a hardware one, and it's part of what our technician does on install day.
Offices that moved. A lot of Peninsula companies have relocated in recent years, either down from San Francisco or between campuses. Moving is the natural moment to reassess equipment, because whatever you had was sized for the old floor plan and the old headcount.
Practices with steady, modest volume. Dental, medical, insurance and real estate offices often run a predictable few thousand pages a month for years. That profile is ideal for buying outright — a lease's monthly cost keeps running whether your volume justifies it or not.
Peninsula delivery is generally comfortable. Business parks in South San Francisco, San Mateo and Redwood Shores have good vehicle access and are easy to schedule. Where a little planning helps is the older downtown storefronts and upstairs suites along San Mateo's B Street, Redwood City's Broadway and the San Bruno and Daly City commercial strips, where a copier may need to go up a floor with limited street access.

We're selective about what enters inventory. Before we buy a used copier we read its internal service history — total counter, jam history by location, fault log, maintenance counters and parts already replaced — and we confirm that physical wear on rollers, drums, developer and fusing matches what the counter says. Machines with a clean record are the ones we take.
Every unit then goes out on current firmware, which is a step most sellers skip. Manufacturer firmware improves scanning behavior, network stability and compatibility with current drivers and operating systems, so an up-to-date machine simply works better with the network you already have.
Our owner has been a Ricoh technician for 40 years, which is why the Ricoh SC error code library on this site exists and why technicians nationwide use it.
Ricoh first — selling Ricoh, Xerox and Lanier since 1991 — plus Canon, Kyocera, Sharp and Konica Minolta as we source them. Savin, Gestetner and Lanier machines are rebadged Ricoh engines, so parts and service on those are effectively identical.
