Serving Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Minden, Gardnerville, Fernley and Incline Village.
Our northern Nevada service area, covering Reno, Sparks, the Tahoe-Reno industrial corridor, Carson City and the Carson Valley.
We deliver the copier to Reno ourselves, a certified Ricoh technician installs it and configures it on your network, and we train your staff — all before you pay anything. Most sellers put these machines on a freight truck and leave the setup to you.
The copier is delivered, installed and running in your office before any money changes hands. If it isn't the machine for you, we take it away at no charge.
In 40 years, we have never had to take a copier back.
Reno has changed a great deal, and the copier requirements have changed with it.
Logistics and distribution. The Tahoe-Reno industrial corridor east of Sparks and out toward Fernley has become one of the West's major warehousing and manufacturing hubs. Those operations run continuous paper — bills of lading, packing lists, manifests, work orders, driver paperwork, safety and compliance records. What matters is uptime and throughput: a machine rated comfortably above your monthly average, a document feeder that handles mixed and less-than-pristine originals, and dependable duplexing. Colour is usually beside the point, and a properly rated monochrome machine costs less and lasts longer than a colour unit bought for occasional use.
Gaming, hospitality and events. Casinos, hotels and the convention business generate customer-facing colour in volume — menus, event programmes, signage inserts, guest material — judged on appearance. Colour consistency and heavier stock handling are worth specifying, and we calibrate on install using the paper you actually run.
Government and professional offices. Carson City is the state capital, and Reno carries the legal, financial, insurance and real-estate practices you'd expect. Heavy records scanning, steady monochrome volume, finishing that matters because documents get filed. Public-sector and professional buyers also tend to run on purchase orders and checks, which is exactly how we sell — no card, and you approve the machine before paying for it.
Small business across the Carson Valley — Minden, Gardnerville, Fernley — usually wants a dependable mid-range machine and someone who will actually turn up to install it.
Northern Nevada is high desert, and the air is dry most of the year. That creates a specific and very common problem.
Dry paper holds a static charge, and statically charged sheets stick together. The result is double-feeds and misfeeds that get blamed on the machine when the cause is the paper and the humidity. Fanning a stack before loading it genuinely helps, as does keeping paper in its sealed ream until you load it and storing it in the same conditioned room as the copier.
The second issue is dust. Fine desert dust settles on optics and feed rollers and degrades copy quality gradually enough that nobody notices until it's poor. Wiping the glass and rollers more often than the manual suggests makes a visible difference here.
The third is the temperature swing. Offices that get cold overnight and warm quickly can produce condensation inside a machine, which shows up as streaking or ghosting on the first jobs of the day. A copier in consistently conditioned space avoids it entirely.
None of this is exotic — it's just what forty years of opening these machines teaches you about the desert. We go through it on install day.
Henry has been a Ricoh technician for 40 years. The Ricoh SC error code library on this site — SC101 through SC998, cross-referenced against Ricoh's own service manuals — is ours, and copier technicians around the country use it to diagnose machines every day.
Setup means network addressing, scan-to-email or scan-to-folder with the right permissions, drivers on the workstations that need them, address book and user codes, finisher calibration, and image density and registration checked on your paper. That's a technician's job, not a delivery job.
Before a used copier enters our inventory we read its own service history off the machine — total counter, jam history by location, fault log, maintenance counters and parts already replaced — and confirm wear on rollers, drums, developer and fusing matches the count. Anything with a repeating fault pattern we pass on, however low the meter. Every unit then leaves on current firmware, which removes an entire category of scanning and network problems that look like hardware faults.
That's why we can set a copier up in your office and let you decide afterwards.
Ricoh first — selling Ricoh, Xerox and Lanier since 1991 — plus Canon, Kyocera, Sharp and Konica Minolta as we source them. Savin, Gestetner and Lanier are rebadged Ricoh engines, so parts and service match Ricoh.
New to the Ricoh name? Our guide to choosing between the major brands explains where each fits, and the technician's checklist covers judging any used machine.
We serve Las Vegas and southern Nevada the same way, and we cover the Sierra foothills and Tahoe and Greater Sacramento on the California side.
Start with a phone call. Tell us your monthly volume and what you're replacing, and we'll tell you what fits. Then we'll bring it out and set it up so you can see it run. Call or text 714-696-6082.
